I'm Lucy, the sole creator behind Kura Kura which was founded in the Spring of 2016. I work full time from my home studio in Alberta Canada where I've lived for the past five years. My designs are largely inspired by the history & folklore of rural England (where I grew up), as well as legends and tales from further ashore.

I graduated University in 2012 with a bachelors degree in History where I learned everything from the Russian Revolution to the history of witchcraft in my region. My love of literature (mainly the classics, poetry, and fantasy) inspires me to create jewellery that becomes more than just decoration: my goal is for each piece to keep an old story alive for a new generation. 

My pieces are usually made entirely from scratch using ethically sourced sterling and fine silver, the majority of which is recycled (the demand for recycled silver has increased dramatically in recent years therefore my supplier can no longer guarantee that everything is 100% recycled).
