I'm Lucy (she/her), the sole creator behind Kura Kura which was founded in the Spring of 2016. I was born and raised in rural England but now work full time from my home studio in Alberta Canada where I've lived for the past five years. My designs are created from a deep love of the English countryside and the rich folklore of the British Isles. 

I graduated University in 2012 with a bachelors degree in History where I learned everything from the Russian Revolution to the history of witchcraft in my region. My love of literature (mainly the classics, poetry, and fantasy) inspires me to create jewellery that becomes more than just decoration: my goal is for each piece to keep an old story alive for a new generation. 

My pieces are made almost entirely from scratch using ethically sourced sterling and fine silver, the majority of which is recycled (the demand for recycled silver has increased dramatically in recent years therefore my supplier can no longer guarantee that everything is 100% recycled).
