Blackthorn are thorny shrubs found in most British hedgerows and are said to be guarded by the spiky fairy folk known as the Lunantisidhe, meaning "moon fairy" who are prone to cursing those who cut wood from their home on Samhain or Beltane. The fruit (or sloes) the trees produce are usually only deemed safe to harvest under a full moon, when the Lunantisidhe leave the trees to worship their moon goddess.
This Blackthorn pendant features a stunning rainbow moonstone with a spot of rare hot pink flash. It's surrounded by handmade blackthorn leaves, flowers, and crescent moon, with two thorny barbs made from cast twigs nestled in between.
It hangs from a sterling silver rolo chain with a total length of 16" with a 1" extender if needed. Please ensure this will fit before purchase as the chain cannot be altered without compromising the integrity of the piece.
Composed of .999 fine and .925 sterling silver.
